What is Endangerment?
Endangered species are animals that exist is small numbers that may become extinct if we do not take quick action to save them. The point of saving these animals is not only because they are beautiful and rare, but because they provide us with many services that we would not be able to have if they were to become extinct.
These species clean our air, regulate water and weather conditions, provide control for our crop pests and diseases and provide a vast genetic library. (http://biology.about.com/od/ecology/a/aa102408a.htm)
